Accommodation

Authorization of participation
The participation at the PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland is possible only after having reached the age of 18 years by race day.
For age groups this is calculated using your age at the end of 2011, not on race day.
To participate in the Triathlon Challenge you must only have reached the age of 16 by race day.
Bike doctor
The urgency bike service/doctor (Temposport) is located near the transition area from Friday to Sunday. For opening hours please check the timetable. On race day, 2 mobile reparation vehicles will be available on the race course. Moreover there will be additional reparation material ready available at the aid stations. In case a bike cannot get repaired by the urgency Bike Doctor (Temposport), we recommend:

Please bring your ID, your triathlon licence (if available) and the signed waiver to pick up your bib-number.
The Check-In of bikes and helmets is mandatory for all competitors. The Check-In takes place preferred on Saturday afternoon. The late Check-In on Sunday morning is only for exceptional cases. Please check the timetable for your Check-In time. The Check-In times are binding for all athletes.

Check-out is only possible by handing in the time chip and showing the start number.

PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland + Triathlon Challenge
The organiser takes no responsibility for any bikes not collected by 8 p.m. Competitors who do not return their time chips will be required to pay CHF 80.- / EUR 60.-.
Ironkids / Ironteens
All sports-loving girls and boys in the age of 5 till 16 years are cordially invited to come take part at the Ironkids / Ironteens on Saturday, 4th June 2011. For this contest, children will have to participate in two disciplines: swimming and running. All the children who finish the course will receive a present as well as a free entrance in Knie's Kinderzoo. Find more information here.
Licence
All categories of the PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland require an annual or daily (CHF 30) licence of Swiss Triathlon. The daily licence can be bought at the registration in the days before the race. More information about annual licences of Swiss Triathlon on www.swisstriathlon.ch or 031 359 72 80.
Lost and found
The collection point is the information point on-site.
After that, the objects will be kept at BK Sportpromotion AG in Schlieren.
Neoprene suit / Wetsuit
Neoprene wetsuits are mandatory at the PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland. In case of very low water temperatures the swim course may be shortened. Compression stockings, which cover feet are not permitted during swimming.

Official race end
Official race end is at 6.30 p.m.
Competitors arriving at the finish line after this time will not be classified in the result list. There are different times for participants of the Triathlon Challenge.

The online registration for the PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland on 3th June 2012 will be available Monday, 6th June 2011.
We are looking forward to welcoming you as a visitor in Rapperswil-Jona 2011 or as a participant at the PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland in 2012.
Regulations
The participants are responsible for starting the race in a well-trained, physically healthy condition. The actual competition regulations must be strictly observed. Traffic laws must be adhered to and instructions from referees and race officials must be complied with.

Route
Rapperswil-Jonais easily accessible by public transport. You can reach all destinations throughout the holiday area Rapperswil-Jona by train, bus or boat, with a private car or within walking distance. And this in no time: for example, it takes you only 45 minutes to go from the Zurich airport to Rapperswil-Jona, whether you take public or private transportation.

Toilets
For the athletes, there will be toilets in front of each food point (run- and bike course). Before and after the race, please use the toilets in the hockey-arena. For the spectators of the PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland, there are enough toilets around the transition area.
Transition area
The bikes and helmets are not to be removed from the transition area after the check-in. We explicitly draw your attention to the fact that the personal belongings are in the sole responsibility of the athlete. We do not take any responsibility for the security or the custody or an eventual missing of the personal belongings.
